Exquisite Westminster Abbey
Westminster Abbey is one of my favorite places to go to in London. I am very interested in the history of all the monarchy in England. Being able to walk around the abbey and just know that some of the famous people are buried right there was just mind blowing. My favorite places in the abbey were seeing where Elizabeth I and Mary Queen of Scotts were. The cool thing that the audio tour told us what that the tombs they are buried in are the same height, facing the same way in different corridors because they were each others equal and rival. Also me and four other people got to go to a prayer service by Edward I tomb which was so fascinating. Everyone in Westminster Abbey stopped at the change of the hour and said a silent prayer and then those people who wanted to have a private prayer went where we did. It was very personal and something that i am extremely excited that I got to participate in. I wish we had had more time there because i am pretty sure i could have spent hours there. The audio tour was very helpful and i enjoyed finding places like where Oliver Cromwell was buried. This has been one of my favourite places i have visited so far in London and i am sure i will go back someday.
